Shows

Guelph Jazz Society shows invite audiences to participate as active members of the local jazz community, where the attendees aren’t just listeners, but a crucial half of an ongoing dialogue.

Thursday Night Jazz at La Poche

A weekly concert series presented by the Guelph Jazz Society that showcases outstanding local and regional jazz musicians in an intimate listening environment. Held every Thursday evening, the series provides consistent performance opportunities for artists while giving audiences regular access to live jazz in the heart of downtown Guelph. The program celebrates the diversity of the jazz tradition, featuring both established performers and emerging artists in a welcoming community setting.

Parade Band Pop-Ins

The Guelph Jazz Society Parade Band brings live music directly into the community with surprise pop-in performances at local businesses, cafés, seniors’ residences, community centres, and other public spaces. These short, informal performances are designed to brighten people’s day, create moments of connection, and bring the spirit of New Orleans-style street music into everyday places. Wherever the band appears, the goal is simple: the celebration of life and community through song.

Saturday Morning Jazz at La Poche

Start your weekend with live jazz in a relaxed café atmosphere at La Poche. With the room set for listening, reading, and conversation, John Brose on guitar and Kevin Ranney on piano will ease you into the day. The duo perform a mix of jazz standards and familiar tunes with warmth, subtlety, and plenty of good cheer.
